How to Use Steam Cleaners for Spot Cleaning Carpets

Steam Cleaners for Spot Cleaning Carpets
Steam cleaners are most commonly known for cleaning and sanitizing hard surfaces. With their high temperature output, they can dissolve almost all kinds of dirt and impurities on hard surfaces. Normally, a cleaning machine with high output temperature is associated with hard surface cleaning only. But these machines can be used for spot cleaning carpets, as well. Take sufficient precautions before exposing mats and carpets to the output of steam cleaners. The following tips may help.

Do Not Overexpose

Steam cleaners can help spot clean small areas, but are not equipped for cleaning entire carpets. When using steam cleaning machines for spot cleaning carpets, care must be taken not to expose the mats and carpets to high temperatures for too long. High quality steam cleaners, as with those in Daimer®'s KleenJet® line of the industry's most advanced machines, provide an output temperature as high as 386°F, which is efficient in dissolving tough stains on carpets. However, such high temperature levels can seriously damage certain soft surfaces without proper precautions.

Only those who know what they are doing should use these machines. Improper use can not only damage carpets, but cause harm to the operator as well.

Green Cleaners

Green cleaners can greatly help loosen dirt and stains within carpets. Such cleaners as Daimer®’s Eco-Green Carpet Care & Upholstery Cleaner can help loosen stains, allowing for easier removal using these machines. Because they are composed of natural ingredients, they will not harm the carpet, user, or environment.
